We offer private and group courses to beginners and have a network of A+ Guitar instructors to send you to once you have completed our programs of your choice, or if we feel that you are ready for more advanced lessons.
Finding out how each student learns best is our first and main goal. We want to make each experience specific to the individual. We will work with ANY students learning habits to meet their needs. A certificate of completion will be awarded at the end of each course.
We offer the following coursework at a rate of $60/mo:
Intro to Guitar - This is the first course for anybody who is just now getting their hands on the guitar. We will start with learning about the guitar and it's origin and advance at the student's speed all the way in to basic guitar music theory. Average completion of this course is around 3-4 months depending on the student. Some finish in 2 months...others in 6 months. This will get you ready to go with basic rythm and basic scale building skills. This course leads directly into our StepUp Rhythm and StepUp Lead courses. The student gets to pick which of these that he wants to learn, however, StepUp Rhythm is recommended.
StepUp Rhythm - This course will build on Rhythm skills to get the student at a more advanced level in Country, Rock, and Blues genres of music. If the student has a specific style he/she wants to learn, we will focus more on their interests throughout the course. We will study Rhythms from the 50's through the 90's and finish with more modern style rhythms. This course usually takes around 4-5 months to complete. When this course is complete, the student will have the skills to move on to an advanced teacher in our network or they can move on to our StepUp Lead course to build a foundation as an all-around guitarist.
StepUp Lead - This course will take the basic scale building skills already learned and advance them. The student will use scale building skills to write their own lead parts and play popular lead parts from popular bands from The Beatles to Santana! Just like in the Rhythm course, we will learn multiple genres of music including Country, Rock and Blues, and if the student has a specific music they want to play, we will focus on their interests as we move through the course. This course can tak anywhere from 3-6 months as it all depends on the students choice of style. When this course is complete, the student will have the skills to move on to an advanced teacher from our network or they can move on to ear training. Not all students will benefit from the ear training course. Each student will be evaluated prior to enrolling for this course.
All Courses will have recitals at both mid-term and at the end of the course(optional for Intro and Step-Up Courses; required for Ear Training Course).
Students will be dropped from calendar after 3 absences without notification. No refunds will be granted for missed lessons if the student cancels though we will try our best to reschedule. Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance.
